3 T fat or oil
1 can tomatoes (2 1/2 cup size)
2 6 oz cans tomato paste
2 cups water
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 T sugar
1 bay leaf


Brown onion in hot fat; add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, salt, pepper, sugar and bay leaf. Cook slowly 1 hour
