Parker House Rolls

1 pkg. dry yeast or 1 1/2 tsp
2 T luke warm water
2/3 cup milk
2 cup sifted plain flour
1 1/2 T sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T butter


Do not get milk too hot! Disolve yeast in water (lukewarm). Heat milk, sugar, salt and butter to lukewarm and butter is melted. (Make sure it is lukewarm then add yeast mixture to milk and add flour. Let rise until double in bulk. Roll out, cut with biscuit cutter. Melt more butter in round pan. Dip each roll in the butter and fold in half. Cover with a towell and let rise for 15 minutes. Bake 350 until brown. Makes just one roung pan full. You can double the recipe.
