Ingredients:

2 cups plain flour
2 cups sugar

1 stick butter
1/2 cup crisco
1 cup water
3 1/2 T cocoa

1/2 cup buttermilk
2 unbeaten eggs
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt

Icing:
1 stick butter
3 1/2 T cocoa
1/2 cup buttermilk

1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup choped nuts.


Instructions:

Mix together the flour and sugar. Set aside. In sauce pan combine the next four ingredients. butter, crisco, water and cocoa. Cook until it come to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour and mix well. Then add the next four ing. butter milk, eggs, soda and salt to the mixture. Mix well and bake in 11 X16 X1 inch pan at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. Icing: Mix butter, cocoa and sugar and bring to a boil, cook until slightly thick. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. Mix in 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 cup chopped nuts. Pour over hot cake. Cool, Cut in squares
