Ingredients:

2 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 cups white vinegar
3 lbs cabbage, grated
2 medium white onions, chopped
2 medium green peppers, finely chopped
1 T salt (or to taste)
1 T mustard seed (optional)


Instructions:

In a saucepan, combine water, sugar and vinegar. Bring to a boil. remove from heat. Set aside to cool. When cool pour over remaining ingredients. Refrigerate, covered, at least 24 hours before serving. Serve with a slotted spoon and press to drain out excess liquid. Makes 18 or more servings.
