Creamy Apricot Salad

1 (15 1/2 oz) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 (6 oz) pkg. apricot-flavored gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 1/2 cups miniatue marshmallows
2 (7 3/4 oz) jars apricot baby food
1 (3 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (4 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 cups sliced banana
1/2 cup chopped pecans


Drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup juice; set aside. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. add marshmallows, stirring until slightly melted. Stir in pineapple and apricot baby food. Chill until the consistency of unbeaten egg whites. Combine cream cheese and reserved pineapple juice, blending well. Stir in whipped topping. Fold in gelatin mixture. Arrange banana slices in bottom of a lightly greased 12X8X2 dish. Spoon gelatin mixture over bananas. Sprinkle with chopped pecans chill until firm.
