Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup butter or margerine
1 1/2 cups sugar (1/2 white and brown)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 tsp water
3 cups all purpose flour
(sift before measuring)
1 6 oz pkg. milk chocolate pieces
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans


Cream butter and sugar with elec. mixer until light and fluffy. add vanilla, eggs and water. Mix well. Sift flour, soda and salt together, then add to mixture, slowly, do not over mix. Stir in Cho. bits and pecans. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Recipe can be doubled. Can be made up ahead of time and kept refrigerated to make a pan fresh as wanted.
