Ingredients:

1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1 1/2 tsp salt
dash pepper
2 cups soft bread crumbs
1 onion, minced
1 lb. pork sholder, ground
1 pound veal shoulder, ground
5 to 6 strips bacon



Instructions:

Set oven at 350 degrees. Combine first 6 ingredients. Let stand 5 minutes. Add onion and meat; mix well. Line a loaf pan, 8 X5 by 3, with bacon across the width of pan. Pack meat mixture into pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours. remove from oven. Invert meat loaf on baking sheet; lift off pan; raise oven temperature to 450 degrees. Return meat loaf to oven for about 10 minutes to crisp bacon.
