1/4 cup butter
2 cups pecan halves
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 T ground cloves
1 T cinnamon
1 T nutmeg


Melt butter in small skillet and add pecans. Simmer for about 20 minutes, stiring often. Drain on absorent paper. C ombine sugar, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg in plastic or paper bag. Add warm pecans and shake to coat thoroughhly. Cool pecans and store in airtight container.
