3 cups sugar
1 cup whipping cream
2/3 cup light corn syrup
2 T butter
1/4 tsp cream of tarter
mint oil for flavoring
food coloring


Combine first 5 ing. in a large pan. Heat to boiling, stiring constantly. Then stir occasionally until mixture reaches soft ball stage 236 degrees. remove from heat. Stir in flavoring and color after it has cooled a little. beat with a wooden spoon 5 to 8 min. or until the mixture becomes creamy and looses its shiny appearence and began to thicken. Working rapidly drop by rounded tablespoonfuls unto waxed paper. Let cool .
