Potato Rolls

6 cups flour (heaping)
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup crisco solid
3/4 cup Sugar
1 egg
1 pkg yeast or cake
2 cups warm water ( 1 cup to dissolve yeast)
1/2 cup mashed potatoes


Cook and mash potato or use left over's warmed. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water. Mix crisco with flour mixture (sugar, salt). Mix in yeast and egg with the potatoes, an remaining water. Mix well an let set to rise. Push down and roll out cut into rolls with cutter and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake 400 degrees until nicely browned.
