Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Icing

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3 egg yolks slightly beaten
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 squares of chocolate melted
2 cup flour
3 tsp baking powder.
3/4 cup milk
3 egg whites beaten until stiff.

Icing:
1 lb box powdered sugar
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 12 oz jar of crunchy peanut butter
pinch of salt



Instructions:

Cream together butter and sugar; add slightly beaten egg yolks, vanilla and chocolate. Sift together flour and baking powder. Combine both mixtures with milk and fold in egg whites. Bake in 2 8" cake pans at 375 degrees for 35 or 40 minutes. Or oblong pan. Frosting: Place sugar in mixing bowl, add other ing. and beat until smooth. Smooth on cake layer. Other Frostings can be used.
